You've done me a huge service by making this available at all, so I hate to even ask, but would it be possible to reach out to you for some help/pointers in making some tweaks (e.g. starting one instance of the shader "out of phase" with another by a consistent amount, or gradually changing the values the way you suggest in the comments)?

I've been really busy the last few weeks, but you're free to reach out and I can see what can be done. Not sure if I'll add it to the main thing since it's already pretty dense with parameters but I don't think it'd be too hard to add.
Not only that you can use this shader for backgrounds, no you can also use it to give standard sprites a touch of animation, it looks like they are alive. Thank you for sharing!
